Artist description DJ Essence (Edward Messier) puts the music back into trance. Mixing the hard beats and deep vibes of trance with the melodies of Euro, Essence has ranged from melodic like "Believe", to the Hard Acid (CAKE, Dream X-Scape), to the deep trippy sounds of "Air Born" and "Meditation". He has also remixed artists such as Interface and Mindsett, and co-produced the Interface track "Frantic". Essence is also a contributing member of DJ Tyas's TranceFormation Society.

Artist History Messier first started doing friend's parties in 1994. After recording a few basic tracks such as "Dream Voyage" and "Poison Control", it was the mp3 of "Neophyte Serendipity" that first attracted attention from as far away as Belguim. Messier is also in The Northern Lights, a local electronic alternative band, and has made several contributions to Interface.
