Artist description
While the influence of his hometown of Portland, Oregon is clearly evident in his music, Dave transcends the raw sounds and passionate performances regularly associated with alternative rock acts. His original and emotionally turbulent songs often combine soaring melodies with honest examinations of relationships and self-awareness. "Three Perfect Days" was released in the fall of 1999, which Dave co-produced with Gary Burnette. The album was mixed by recent Grammy nominee Shane Wilson (Owsley – Giant Records). "Three Perfect Days" is receiving rave reviews and was a #1 Best Seller at the Aware Records online store within the first week. Dave and the band were chosen to be featured on the Nor-Am TV Rock N' Road Music and Video Road Tour Horizon's series The band consisting of Chris “Chords” Cottros on Guitar/ Background Vocals, Mike Wolofsky on Bass / Background Vocals and Rich Kij on Drums, has been selected for the Nashville Entertainment Association Extravaganza and the Next Music Festival on the ASCAP stage, the Philadelphia Music Conference, and the ASCAP Stage at the Atlantis Music Conference.Because of his unique musical perspective, Dave's songwriting has been honored by the Portland Music Association as a winner of their annual songwriting competition. Dave was also announced the winner of the prestigious Alesis Corporation National Songwriting Competition. Dave's craftsmanship is only eclipsed by his versatility. After moving to Nashville he became a fresh and welcome addition to the Music City Community. Dave has written for Crossfire Music Publishing, Starstruck Writer's Group, and currently Warner Chappell Music. His work has been featured in the independent film, "Nice Guys Sleep Alone."www.daveberg.com |

Press Reviews
"Berg's "Three Perfect Days" features all the sonic grit and determination that is missing from rock these days. Distorted guitars, percussive grooves, and nifty tunes all bode well for Berg's future."AMPLIFIER MAGAZINE"Berg's new album Three Perfect Days is a nice collectionof troubadour songs all wrapped up in a made-for-radio package There are some gems here, such as "Scratch" and "Being Myself"SOUTHEAST PERFORMER MAGAZINE"4 Stars - Best of Artist" ALL MUSIC GUIDE"All of the songs have really good beats, interesting and meaningful lyrics... I can hardly stop rockin' long enough to write this review. He's got a good voice to top it off. It's as though he's pushing every note out with as much passion and intensity as possible, yet he still keeps it smooth." FLASH! MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY"Three Perfect Days has songs and performances that would fit perfectly amid others being played on your local CHR, Hot AC, Modern Rock and AAA formatted radio stations. It's this issues most likely DIY to be heard coming outta your car radio later this year (or early next - it depends on how long it takes for the major label A&R guys to "get" it)." PERFORMING SONGWRITER MAGAZINE"Each song is a miniature story told in an honest, unaffected, but affecting voice; a singer-songwriter with exceptionally bright prospects." NYROCK"Some of the finest straight forward tunes you’ve heard in recent years… radio ready rock that doesn’t cut corners." RALEIGHMUSIC"Writer’s Choice Award, Pop/Rock Category, Honorable Mention" Charles Earle INREVIEW |
