Artist description Blue In Green is a three piece outfit in Berkeley, California. At first sight its members have nothing in common in their musical tastes: bass player Jon Barkin is a jazz/funk/jam-band cat, drummer Bennett Park listens to ``emo’’, while singer/guitarist Richard Levien likes classical music and New Zealand guitar pop. Somehow, they claim, it all comes together… see if you like it yourself.

Artist History Blue In Green began with singer/guitarist Levien and drummer Park, jamming on a few songs in the winter of 1999. Bass player Barkin completed the lineup in the spring of 2000, and they recorded their first demo, ``April’’ shortly thereafter, recording the tracks at their North Oakland rehearsal studio and mixing them in Levien’s home studio.
