Artist description
Blue In Green is a three piece outfit in Berkeley, California. At first sight its members have nothing in common in their musical tastes: bass player Jon Barkin is a jazz/funk/jam-band cat, drummer Bennett Park listens to ``emo’’, while singer/guitarist Richard Levien likes classical music and New Zealand guitar pop. Somehow, they claim, it all comes together… see if you like it yourself. |

Artist History
Blue In Green began with singer/guitarist Levien and drummer Park, jamming on a few songs in the winter of 1999. Bass player Barkin completed the lineup in the spring of 2000, and they recorded their first demo, ``April’’ shortly thereafter, recording the tracks at their North Oakland rehearsal studio and mixing them in Levien’s home studio. |
