Artist History New York's Satanic Majesties first incarnation was formed in 1996 when guitarist John Pecora asked long time friend and fellow musician Sean Faust to lend his vocal and keyboard talents to a demo John had been working on. Since then the two musicians have gotten together several times over the next few years for late night jam sessions in rehearsal rooms throughout the area with another long time friend, drummer Steve Komito. During the later part of these sessions, other musicians came and went, but it wasn't until the Majesties recruited St. James, for the razor sharp slashing lead guitar and the thundering bass guitar talents of Marc Smith to mesh around John's driving riff's that the Majesties came true to life. With the Satanic Majesties lineup now in place, the band headed out on the road, touring the club circuit before returning to the studio in May to record their debut CD single, "Garden Of Stone."
