Press Reviews
"Britpop with a little twist is yours from The Dygmies."..." Fans of the ol' jangle and bop will surely get off on this five-song EP; I particularly enjoyed "Less Than Real," a rousing number with Moon-ish drum madness in the chorus and rave-up outro." (Jim Santo/Demo Universe) "Songs are one of the most impressive points of this act. You're probably thinking, `Hey, anybody can write a song, so what's the big deal?' Well, everybody thinks they can write a song but they can't, and even if they can, they don't write them like this."..."The Dygmies put forth slick, shiny, tasty record-label ready, radio-friendly compositions which bring to mind some of the more accomplished popsters of our time. I said it before, and I'll say it again good singing, good songwriting and good playing makes this new Dygmies release, Race to Mars, a diamond in a tub of local coal. Good job again, men." (J.J. Terre/Music Voice) "I took a shine to this group after listening to their most current CD, `Race to Mars.' The 5-song CD is impressive. Strong emotional vocals, lyrics we can all relate to and musical hooks that blend well from song to song." (Sheri Wallace/Music Voice) "Their five song CD was recorded at fancy Chaton Studios in Scottsdale, and the production is flawless...the harmonies and musicianship on this disc are first-rate." (Thomas Bond/Get Out) "A buncha geeks..." Kimgerly/Tongue-Bath |
