Artist History
The Ascension Era started in February of 1999, in the basement of the Margolis' household. Members Eddie Nazareno, Ethan Margolis, and Chris O' Connell picked up their instruments, wrote a few songs in the span of a night, and decided to form a band. The distance between NJ members Chris and Eddie, and PA member Ethan made it difficult to get together for practices, and recording. It was only recently, over the summer of 2000 that they were able to collaborate and record a 10 song demo of ideas and songs ethan and eddie wrote together. With the coming of the fall the semester the unified band had to again disband for school, with only Chris and Eddie left. Luckily, Eddie and Chris were able to record a few demo tracks with the help of a 4 track recorder, for an upcoming ep, which are now featured on the page. Recently, the band has finally completed their line up, with the addition of friend bass/guitar player Blake Zarsky. Now the three hope to endeavor on a quest to "rise above" or "ascend" over the shallow tunes of today's world, and instead rewrite it, using only raw emotion and imagination. |
