Artist History Skander began in the early 90's as Parliama Troppo, with Ichabod on the guitar and Johannes on the keyboards, in constant search of a drummer. ---- By the mid-90's the band took upon the name Skander from a character in a fabulous short story by legendary pulp sci-fi author A. E. Van Vogt: "Dear Pen Pal." The band went through several incarnations in this period, including a brief time with six members, shortening to three in time for their first gig at Emo's and their demo tape, "Intent on World Domination." ---- Though their day jobs called away Johannes and the excellent drummer Monte, the songs continued to live on in Ichabod's next band, Breastfed. Breastfed continued the biting satire, including a new set of lyrics Johannes sent from California. ---- During the Breastfed era, Johannes focused on his composition skills and Ichabod developed his considerable skills as a performer.Recently, Ichabod met with his greatest musical success yet as a member of the outstanding Celtic Renaissance duo "The Brobdingnagian Bards." Johannes wrote music for the shareware game "Excelsior Phase II" and releases music under the alias "Rimbo" which he has termed "Goth Unblack." ---- Today, the history of this band has been resurrected, and its talents reassembled, through the magic of mp3.com and the internet!
