Artist description
Paul Lamoureux is Canada's premier "pop" woodwind instrumentalist. This Toronto-based multi-reedman graduated from North Texas State University with a Masters in Music. Paul has played cruise ships, toured Europe, and lived in the Caribbean (Cayman Islands). His varied musical career as studio musician, record producer, theatre musician, teacher and musical director has prepared him well to launch his career as a recording artist. His music reflects his varied musical past, crossing stylistic boundaries with ease. It remains, however, rooted in the "Pop/Jazz" sound of saxophonists David Sanborn, Kenny G., and groups like Spyro Gyra and the Rippingtons.A dynamic and visual performer with a keen sense of humour, Paul is aware that audiences "hear with their eyes" as well as their ears. Fluently bilingual in French and English, Paul possesses the rare combination of ability, personality, and drive necessary to propel an artist's career. Paul is destined to be an international star. Paul Lamoureux is available for live performances at Festivals, Concerts, Corporate Entertainment, as well as for educational concert/clinics. |
