Artist History
Mg Loco in 9th grade he met this guy named Hani Tanbouz who just arrived to Kuwait from Texas. Mg found out about Hani Tanbouz’s talent, but didn’t know the whole story. Turns out that Hani Tanbouz had his own group in the states, with his own DEMO album called Aggravated Lyfstyles. So Mg wanted to learn how to rap so he asked him to teach him, Hani Tanbouz told him to practice and learn your talent within. Mg did that very thing. But what happen was Hani Tanbouz and Mg made a demo tape that consists of two songs. Later that year in 9th grade Hani Tanbouz left to the states. One year past still in touch with Hani Tanbouz and he was planing to come back to Kuwait, so both of them decided not to take the demo to a record company, they wanted to do it here in Kuwait. But it was to late for Hani Tanbouz because his own friend in the states murdered him over a stupid car. Mg finding out the next day made him very angry and sad, but now Mg is over it and he wanted fulfill their dream. To make a new style of rap in the Middle East, and a new group emerged called Arabian Thugz that consisted of Mg and Prince Ali. But Ali was to busy, but did put some effort in to the group. This was all in 10th grade. So the next year when Mg was in 11th he met a new guy, who just came from D.C. His name was Black Ice. Black Ice loved rap, and knew how to rap, but he didn’t know he sounded so good on the mic. Later on Mg became lazy and stopped for awhile so Black Ice met Tat and learned about his talent and they asked Mg to get back into the game. But Mg had other plans, he wanted to do it with Tyreek, they had almost got a deal with a small producer in Kuwait, which helped inspire Mg, but for some reason Tyreek changed his mind. So Mg went back with Black Ice, and Tat, but they didn’t do anything that year. The following year, which now is their senior year (Class of 2001); they are finally doing some work. They already have a DJ, mixers, CPU’s, sound effects, and every thing else. After how long it took those three to unite together and make it happen they still they are still getting new ideas every day and night. They found new talent who came from VA, and named him Lil Homie, because he was short plus young. He features in some of their songs. Also Melkom T features in some of their songs. Now that’s how Middle East Connections emerged in Kuwait and in the Middle East, so that’s their history. Oh almost forgot about EG the Eygption Gangaster, a new talent that sounds pretty cool & features in some of their songs... A personal thought from Majeed: Hani Tanbouz RIP homeboy I still think of you everyday. |
