Artist History
Leader/songwriter Dave Hawkins began making music in the early 90's, relasing his solo debut, "80-Acre Dream", a "sprawling rural soundscape" recorded at his rural Illinois farmhouse in 1994. Three songs from that album were used in the 1996 independent film feature "Cashing In" by Pendulum Pictures. He formed the band "Hawk" in Chicago in 1995, and they released their debut CD "Always Now" in 1997. "Always Now" received national radio airplay including being featured on Chicago powerhouse WXRT-FM, National Public Radio, and numerous college radio stations. The new EP, "Hawk" features 4 songs from the upcoming self-titled CD, "Hawk"which has a tentative release date of March 2001. |
