Artist History
Shifter sprung out of a couple bands back in 1997-8. Jeromy and a kid named garrett got together with mike to start a band. When mike couldn't make it to play a show, they called nik, who knew garrett from a previous band. Things clicked and thus Kamakaze was formed. Soon after the band needed to change and not everyone was at that level. They dropped garrett and got brad as the drummer. From there they changed the name to 1035, and got pete to do vocals. After a show they decided to get rid of pete, and just sing by themselves. Eventually they dropped the name 1035 and became shifter. They went through many musical changes to become what they were. They ended, somewhat on a sour note, from the intrusion of a girl. The bass player found a new love, and unforunately had no room for his old love anymore. The other members, after months of trying to get him back, decided to call shifter quits and start a new band. Many hearts were broken in the process. The other band members would like to say thanks to that "special" girl, you changed our friend, and changed our lives. |
