WHAT'S THE POINT BIOGRAPHY
In 1999, Toledo, Ohio saw the birth of a new band as three eighth graders set out to make a mark on the Northwest Ohio music scene. Now four years later What's the Point have matured into a solid and diverse band known for their explosive live energy. The members of What's the Point are Elliot Simon (vocals and bass), Chas Hill (percussion) and Jeff Wynn (guitar). Combining elements of punk, classic rock, hardcore, and prog rock, What's the Point deliver a stunning blend of high-energy modern rock.
With over two hundred live shows to their credit, What's the Point have shared the stage with notable bands such as Something Corporate, Counterfit, Mae, The Ghost, Fall Out Boy, Punchline, Glasseater, The Early November, Hidden in Plain View and The Unsung Zeros. During their Junior year in high school they recorded an EP "The Shards of Summer" that catalogues the best of their early work.
What's The Point is currently working on new material for their first full-length album to be released in 2004. Meanwhile, the band continues to refine their signature sound by combining strong songwriting with tight musicianship.
