Artist History
Forming in the fall of 1999, Waterline drift has methodically plotted their infiltration into the struggling San Diego music scene. Despite their early loss of a member, bassist Matt Joy, who vanished into thin air shortly after completing his demo tracks, (and is still listed as missing with the FBI), Waterline drift has succeeded in blurring the line between demo and EP with their self-titled self-release. With numerous live shows under their belts, this band will only grow stronger as they continue to play and record in the Southern California area. |

Press Reviews
" Waterline Drift with their all-encompassing, ethereal sound have the potential to make a phenomenally sublime record.
Their music is quite, quite beautiful as each composition offers you shelter, a place to curl up in and a chance to shunt the world outside.
Like Slowdive, Low and My Bloody Valentine before them, the sum of the instrumentation by far outweighs the individual parts
and when everything comes together it makes for a divine moment. "Sarah, please dont crash" is a slightly more ambitious epic thats a little darker around the edges.
As the Gardner-like (Ride) vocals seep in and take over an almost psychedelic soundtrack intensifies, as do your fears for Sarahs welfare."(DickB/peoplesound.com)
