Artist description
Musically, Victor has his feet firmly planted in the fertile soil of blues and classic rock, much of which comes through in his music, but also enjoys displaying eclectic influences and creating unique sounds. So along with solid, toe-tapping rock-and-roll, you will also find touches of jazz, Latin rhythms, hip-hop, pop, and trance music blended into a unique and flavorful mélange. Victor plays or programs nearly all of the instruments in his songs, though he is proud to feature the excellent work of some guest contributors as well. The result is a refreshing brand of truly independent music that includes something for nearly everyone, and a rich experience through and through for those who share Victor's love for a variety of musical styles. |

Artist History
Victor Wilburn is a software engineer by day who has been a musical hobbyist for nearly fifteen years, beginning when he first started playing harmonica and writing songs in high school, then expanding to guitar, vocals, bass, and keyboards. With the advent of viable high-quality digital recording equipment for the home PC user in recent years, Victor has found a way to realize his musical vision to the fullest, on his own time and on his own terms. After over two years of hard work in his spare time, Victor is proud to have completed his debut album, Homebrew, full of a variety of lovingly hand-crafted music. Victor believes this album is an exciting example of the quality of home recording now possible with today's affordable recording technology. |

Press Reviews
To me what stands out is how consistently your pensive, insightful personality is expressed in your lyrics, and how you achieve a good match of lyrics and music genre. . . . Underneath your different styles, I hear a pretty consistent classic rock influence, for instance in the melodic progressions and chord structures. It gives your music a very solid feel at heart . . . Your instrumentation is original and well done. I think you have a good ear for what combinations work, and what fits the song. My favorite sound throughout your music is your harmonica, which you use to good effect. -- Fan Nicki Krieg |
