Music Style
Electronic music ranging from very experimental minimal music and ambient electronic soundscapes to more upbeat tunes designed for the dancers amongst us. |
 |
Musical Influences
Influenced by the world around us and the social complexities inherent in the 21st century. There are too many things that are left undocumented which we would like to do with music with a more collective approach. |
 |
Similar Artists
FSOL, The Orb, Orbital, Leftfield, Autechre, Aphex Twin, erm perhaps! |

Artist History
After a long and arduous trial of social adaptation and conflict, the artists were brought together as friends, overcoming many obstacles and pitfalls. They continue to work seperately on differents projects unique and personal to themselves, but maintain and share a collective conciousness throughout the process. They collaborate on many projects and as many of these as possible will be placed onto this site, as well as our personal projects and hopefully soon our artwork. |

Group Members
In no particular order:Jim Mitcham. Born and raised in Birmingham, Jim spent most of his time within the music world playing guitar, most notably as lead singer/guitarist in the critically acclaimed Punk/grunge crossover outfit Council House Tina with Brendan Mulhern, Olly Bamford and Mick Hopkins. He also plays a range of other more conventional instruments including the didgeridoo but has now become passionately entwined with the process of making electronic music and intends to begin applying this to animation and other visual work. He is most inspired by bands such as Mogwai, The Orb, Leftfield and Orbital. Jim is recognised as the "Arty Farty" one.Lorenz PenklerBorn in Johannasburg and Raised in France, Lorenz is a well known figure in the area and famed for his stories of places far and wide. He is highly passionate about music and has influences ranging from reggae to Dvorak. He is an excellent bass and double bass player and provides the driving force of the project. He is on a constant quest to connect with the living and realises this through his music. He is also an expert Didgeridoo player and the tutor of Jim at this instrument.Jo AtkinsonHailing from Bradford, Jo is a keen singer and excellent Dramatist. She provides many of the vocal samples the are used by TGHV and practises her art and theatre in league with the music. An essential part of the collective for her ability to harmonise the collective thought and ensure that insanity is ever present in the household (an essential requirement for any group of artists). An example of her work is when, at a theatre workshop, her group was asked to perform a piece of literature. While most of her group opted for Dickens and Shakespeare, Jo performed a cookery book to raptuous applause. Need I say more.Andy PlayfordLived in Hay-On-Wye, famed for its literary festival, prior to moving to Scarborough. Life in the midst of the shadow of the Black Mountains and the beautiful scenery of Wales has provided Andy with a laid back and free-thinking approach to life. He is an expert photographer and an ardent sampler, transforming the world around him into musical ideas. He is also a skilled guitarist and singer and plays many other instruments including the clarinet. His solo work can be found on the Embers page on this site. |
