Artist description
Michael Saltar, composer and pianist, has travelled since 1982 inspiring audiences across America with with powerful piano concerts.
His father, Sam Saltar, having performed for such entertainers as Liberace, Lucille Ball, Frankie Avalon, Judy Garland, Tony Bennett, Milton Berle, Johnny Mathis, Pat Boone, Elvis Presley, Sammy Davis Jr., and many others, made music inescapable in the Saltar home. In the late 1950's, God literally spoke to Sam in an audible voice and told him to leave secular show business. Within a few years, he began his 35+ year worldwide touring career to speak of the power of God and present concerts in churches of all denominations. Michael grew up in the midst of these developments and learned to write and perform for audiences as little as 8 up to 20,000 people.
With a masters degree in music composition, Michael also developed his talents in art and has continued working as the Art Director for an international television and publishing ministry.
But the music continues on. Host of talent shows, winner of regional and national competitions, performer with piano showman, Dino Kartsonakis, and other contemporary Christian artists, Michael Saltar now presents his debut album, Emmanuel.
Emmanuel means “God with us.” And every melody on this album tells the tale of God’s intervention yesterday and today. Pianist Michael Saltar presents majestic piano solos, orchestrations and improvisations on his debut recording that will leave you wanting more. Included are favorites like “I Will Call Upon the Lord,” “It Is Well” and the title cut, as well as inspiring new music such as “Angelic Flight,” “Joshua and Caleb” and “Praise Dance.” Discover the power of Emmanuel!€ |
