Artist History
Jeannie Kramer was born in 1975 in Washington DC where she lived until the age of seven. She then moved to the Seattle area where she began taking piano lessons and singing in choirs and immediately began writing and recording her own songs. Her first recording was made at the age of 12, on a 4 track. She excelled in music at school and performed with Concert and Jazz choirs around the greater Washington area. She performed her original work at talent shows in highschool and later joined a R&B/Funk band called "Raw Karma" with bassist and musical mentor Ray Williams. While attending college in Richmond Virginia, Jeannie recorded a CD with the University of Richmond Chorus under Arranger/Director James Erb. While at the University she also produced her first 6-song record entitled "Neither Here Nor There" singlehandedly. In 1994 Jeannie moved to Boston where she attend the Berklee College of Music and earned a degree in Music Production and Engineering. For two years after college she worked as a private teacher, coaching vocalists and giving piano lessons in Boston. Jeanne made many recordings in and out of school and various studios in Boston, but didn't press her first self titled CD until 1999. The first song on the CD, "Pieces", features guitarist Marty Walsh (Leanne Rymes' studio guitarist and former member of Supertramp). Jeannie moved from Boston back to Washington State at the end of '99 and is currently learning the guitar, and honing songs for her next CD. |
