Artist description
Christy Claxton is a sophisticated songwriter and musical stylist. Her Texas roots are distinct in the music, which means she comes very close to country. However, close attention tells the listener that this music is much more than that. It is smart songwriting that touches on themes that include personal salvation, complex human relationships, and observations of tragedy, joy, and triumph in the human experience. Much like her influences, Christy writes catchy tunes around engaging subjects. Her powerful vocals are world class. Her recordings are instant classics with their clean, warm reproduction that harkens back to the old ways. That means well mastered analogue recordings that offer separation and clarity. Christy is an artist for those with good taste and an appreciation for fine craftsmanship; whether it be her voice, her songwriting, or her recordings. |
