Artist History
Based in San Jose, Alien Love Syndrome ("ALS") has developed an increasingly visible presence in the local music scene. Its four members, Marcio Faria, Cameron Lazzari, Jason Hunt, and Sean McMahon introduced a variety of musical influences, infusing grunge, punk, and a psychedelic 60’s feel into their music. In early 2001 Cameron founded Alien Love Syndrome (ALS) and hooked up with local drummer Jason Hunt who had been gigging extensively in the area. After spending some time writing and rehearsing they brought on Sean McMahon who had recently relocated from the L.A. area. After recording and performing as a three-piece for over a year the band brought on a fourth member, Marcio Faria. Marcio had previously been singing and playing guitar for local act Fastener. With their newest member in place the sound of Alien Love Syndrome was born yet again.

Press Reviews
“Alien Love Syndrome has certainly produced a solid, if not better than average effort here, marking their highly accessible style with some good guitar work that breaks itself against the bass and drums. " (Powerslave.com)
“Like the American express card, I won’t leave home without it. ALIEN LOVE SYNDROME put me in a deep thought incurring trance fueled by deep, well written and delivered lyrics. I can’t wait for ALIEN LOVE SYNDROME to hit my town.. This CD is essential for a complete library." (Cabands.com)
"The music comes across as a catchy blend of Nirvana, Frank Black and the Police tumble-dried with a psychedelic spin. At Kleidon's, where bands are often given the opportunity to play longer-than-average sets, Saturday's show saw extended guitar and drum solos." (Sarah Quelland, Silicon Valley Metro)
