Artist description Myliye has a very unique sound drawing from music that dates back to the 60's. The lyrics in the songs are meaningful as well as the dynamic changes. One miniute the guys will be playing something slow and jazzy, and the next they'll be playing out right rock.They are also a great live band, bringing lots of energy to the stage. A sort of Roots, Rock type of sound. .

Artist History Myliye has been playing together for nearly two years. They're home base is San Diego, California where they have played most of their gigs.The singer/songwriter, acoustic guitarist- Donny Fausner is accompanied by his younger brother, Mike Fausner (19 yrs. old) on the electric guitar. Brian Jirka, the bassist, and Max Hickman, on drums, combine to form a great rythym section. Myliye has played many big festivals, and events, as well as opened up for such people as Robby Krieger of the doors, Sally Taylor, and The Derek Trucks Band. Myliye has also just agreed to a deal with Hawaiian Pro Designs Surfboards to do the soundtrack for their upcoming surf video.In January of 2000 the guys recorded a demo CD with whatever money they had. It was recorded all in six hours. Every song was a one take, live shot at putting their music out there. They plan on getting into the studio to do a much more proffesional album soon.
