Artist History Songwriting and Producing team, Jason Wagner and Lisa Maestas are the founding members of MAGGIEJACK. As a duo, they have been performing with various musicians since 1996. In 1999, while living in Denver Jason and Lisa AKA, "Maggie" worked on their independent debut album, "Certified Organic". During this time the official band name emerged and "MAGGIEJACK" was born. MAGGIEJACK hit the streets running in 2000 and have been performing in clubs and theaters throughout Colorado and soon..... the world! MAGGIEJACK packs the shack and has headlined favorite Colorado venues such as THE SOILED DOVE and HERMAN'S HIDEAWAY and played various hot spots like THE BLUEBIRD THEATER, ARCHER'S, THE MERCURY CAFE, THE CRICKET ON THE HILL, 60 SOUTH, QUIXOTE'S, THE BOULDER THEATRE AND TULAGI'S, to name a few. MAGGIEJACK has been seen whoopin it up on Colorado stages with some of their favorite CO artists and bands such as, Wendy Woo, Sherri Jackson, You Call That Art?, Love45, Sad Star Cafe', Kristina Ingham, Hazel Miller, Mean Old Man, Michelle Hagelund/Book of Runes, Dear Marsha, Mary Beth Abella, Liz Clark, and Nina Storey! MAGGIEJACK's growing popularity has seen the sellout of their debut CD, "Certified Organic" and the track "Homegrown" land on AAA radio. Out of hundreds of submissions, "Homegrown" was added to the 2001 CAM Records compilation, "Revelations in Music III." MAGGIEJACK performed at the People's fair summer 2001, 2002 and also the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society Benefit w/ Nationally acclaimed recording artist PARIS DELANE from one of their favorite National bands, SONIA DADA! Other benefits in 2001 and 2002 have included the Wolf Rescue Center benefit in Colo. Spgs. and most recently, the Leonard Peltier benefit. SOLIDARITY! Lisa Maria was also part of a special All Star Choir for ROCK AID / SCHOOL AID. This event took place on 11/11/01, at the prestigious and historic PARAMOUNT THEATRE in downtown Denver. The money raised went directly to New York City schools, teachers and families.
