    Artist description
I write music. Thats all that I'm going to claim because I admit I'm no professional performer. As one reviewer said of me "Songwriting is an A+ perfection, performance is a respectable B". Most of my music has a "happy" sound to it, so if you hate smiling then you may need to avoid this music. As for the lyrics, yes they are mushy in parts, yes they can be brutally honest, and yes they have been known to be humorous. What they are NOT is depressing... remorseful? maybe. regretful? perhaps. but overall they are meaningful and created for the listeners enjoyment.

    Artist History
I started writing music when I was 6 or 7... just silly little songs about building roads and collecting the garbage (my dream jobs at the time). I picked up piano when I was 10. The trumpet at 11. And the acoustic at 12. Got an electric at age 18. Dabbled in bass, drums, harmonica and pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I wrote what I officially call my first song in 1997 and called it Stand And Grin. Over the course of 3 years it went thru significant changes and then I decided to record it. After everyone kept asking for me to play it and for copies on CD I decided I'd write more and thats how it started. My first CD was released in late summer 2001. I'm currently working on the second CD as I simultaneously look for a "band" and better equipment.

    Press Reviews
Membane (Santa Barbara CA) - I like this song quite a bit! Good lyrics Michael Galvin (Upbeat Records, Decatur IN) - Dude, I love the music. You have tons of musical talent. Joe Mastandrea (Verona, PA) - Good ear for the smaller voice and a fine way with lyrics. B.A. (New Orleans, LA) - Reviewing these songs is fairly useless since they are all KICK@$$! This one takes the cake as far as your fullfledged rock songs go. The chorus is awesome with the background vocal gradually moving up the scale. Its also got a kind of humorous sound to it and it definatley will make anyone smile. I love it. Perfection has been attained with this song! [a review of the song "Go"] The Unknown Critic - First: Your ROCK! At first I wasnt impressed but the more I listened the more I wanted. You are an excellent singer/songwriter!...please [Luke] for the sake of music find a band so you can get out of kentucky and onto MTV! I am not kidding you have musical insight that is incredible! Good Luck! Indie One Listening (c) 2001 - If there's one thing to be said about Luke Waltrip it is that he knows how to write some d*** good music! Take one listen and you will be hooked on his hooks and harmonies the flow like milk and honey. This is one of the most melodical musicians I've heard since the 70's and he's only 19 [Oct. 2001] If this guy gets a record deal look out for a revolution in pop/rock music! Unfortunatly, his recording quality doesn't do him justice.
