Artist description
LipSlide's main purpose is to get the girls dancing and the guys slamming/moshing all at the same time. Our music comes from a collaboration and compromise of many styles of music and ideas, including funk, metal, hip hop, jazz, hardcore punk, and rock music. We keep our goals in mind when we write songs fusing these great forms of music together and creating our own sound. We have been refered to as "Hard Bounce." I like to call it "Funk Metal Scratch Hop." Check it out for yourself. |

Artist History
Lip Slide has been in existence since february of 2000. The founding members of LipSlide, Chris Hall and Trevor Mills, never gave up their passion for music and the desire to create great songs and play them live! LipSlide formed shortly after Chris Hall escaped from a avalanche snowboarding in the backcountry of Colorado. His renewed since of life and purpose possessed him to seek out the skills of long time aquaintance Trevor Mills. With a little patience and a lot of love, we have stuck through some hard times (like 4 or 5 different lineups and musical and personality differences)and become good friends. In the end, we have put together some of the best musicians in the area. We have some great songs to offer you and when you see us live the high level of energy is positive and refreshing. We have been very fortunate in finding 4 other musicians that are super cool, talented, and dedicated to the music and goals of LipSlide. We played our first gig as a 6 piece band Sept 29, 2001 at the Fox Theatre, here in Boulder, Colorado. We had an amazing crowd responce! I am happy to inform you that we succeeded in our goal of having girls dancing and guys slamming at the same time! There were 2 groups of girls on either side of the stage movin' their little booties and a big pit of sweating dudes slammin hard in front of the stage! It was such a great feeling and inspiration. Now the LipSlide momentum is becoming an avalanche of it own. Great music and great times! Best bring your Beacon! Our next plan is to go into the studio and release some of our new songs...
