Artist History
Since ISD's formation in November of 1998, crowds have been lining up to see what bodily harm front man Craig Welch, formerly of Brutal Juice (Interscope Records), will inflict next. From smashing his head with his mic and lighting himself on fire to letting audience members put cigarettes out on his head, which incidentally is where the band's name originated, Craig is an endless feast for the eyes and ears. As heard on their first EP, ISD doesn't skimp on hard driving riffs that overtake the listener with an uncontrollable adrenaline rush. The first cut, "Celtic Park", became an instant hit and has been played on Dallas' own KEGL and KNON radio stations. Lou Reynolds, guitar, and Ryan Perry, bass (both former members of Captain Phat), throw down fierce, ultra-heavy grooves with utmost precision as heard on "Hielo" and "Proven Ground". To take the group to the next level, ISD enlisted drummer Danny Handler (formerly of Beef Jerky) in December of 1999. With the line-up solidified and a tighter, more mature sound, International Sparkdome continues to overpower and destroy everything in its path. |
