    Artist description
BLUEROCK HARVEST is a band that draws from a lot of varied influences including modern rock, classic country, and folk. The lyrics of lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Alex Shindeldecker are allowed to come to the forefront by the dynamics of a three piece band. Kevin Brinkkoeter plays drums and Grant Chambers plays bass to complete the trio. We hope to continue growing musically and challenge ourselves as we evolve.

    Artist History
Alex has written 150+ songs. In 1997, he formed Flower Hollow withScott Richards (guitar), Mike Dish (bass), and Kevin Brinkkoeter (drums). They broke up after about a year and a half. After a brief hiatus from songwriting after the break up, he began writing again in early 1999. He got back in touch with old friend Kevin Brinkkoeter on drums, talked to friend Grant Chambers (guitar/bass), and they formed Bluerock Harvest. Together they decided to keep the band a three-piece acoustic act and explore the sonic aspects of playing subtly, as well as percussively and aggressively without using multiple instruments.

    Press Reviews
"a good blend between the Hero singing his lament, and an up tempo tune that moves you forward instead of back... Nothing overblown or overdubbing. Just some keen, sometimes understated, unplugged music that isn’t afraid to follow its own trail. Sometimes blazing away with a knife through the thick brush." - Ben Ohmart, www.atnzone.com <BR> "I wanted to tell you what a nice job you did with it. Y'all have such a friendly sound, so very easy to get into... my favorite tune is probably Flatline because I'm such a sucker for those minor chords; Pink Floyd comes to mind (til it rocks out). Black is a close second, or maybe it's my favorite, I've gone back and forth. Y'all ever listen to any Nick Drake? Not in the vocals, but Black has a great atmosphere and motion to it like the great Nick Drake." Murry Hammond, bassist, Old 97's
