Artist History
wONKA bAR was formed in Frisco, Colorado by archie and Chris Caudle in the fall of 1997. The band later relocated to San Diego, California to pursue their music career. While playing a street corner in Pacific Beach, they met Claudio who joined the band immediately playing percusion. They played together as a three piece for a while until eventually branching out to a full size band. After going through numerous drummers and bassists they came across Bryon Anderson, a teacher at MiraCosta College where they were recording part of there first Demo CD. He fit in right away on the drum kit. Kevin Boyd started coming to wONKA bAR shows for about 8 months before they were in need of a bassist, so when the opening arrived, he was the first choice, and they couldn't be happier with that choice. Chris Caudle recently left the band to persue other opportunitites in his life and will be missed. With their Jagermeister sponsorship in hand and a slew of loyal fans all over southern California and from MP3.com, they continue to do what they love to do. That is, to play music that they love to play and have fun doing it. They also know that they wouldnt be where they are today if it wasn't fo the best fans in the whole world. |
