Artist description
In the tradition of the rock genre, mask-wearing, underground, and somewhat elusive; shortly after the release of their debut-CD Desfile De Muertos (Parade Of The Dead, November 1997), Seattle's Strange Parade began a rise to recognition as one of the nation's top indie bands. Now, in 2000, with Where I Stand, Strange Parade's affinity for taking a stand, following it's own path, setting it's own trend, has once again pushed the limits of what an unsigned independent band can accomplish. |

Press Reviews
"...there are some unique qualities provided in this CD [Desfile De Muertos]..in no way are they [Strange Parade] pop, and although reminiscent of grunge, they are, in my opinion, the stepping stone for change in the Northwest music cluster. They provide the old, but lay way and hint how to progress for the new." (Jaimie Ellis, JAM Magazine) |
