Press Reviews
"I like his music. It has a mystic side to it. The harmony is great. "Tales of the Soul" has excellent chords; it is calm, beautiful and the music really goes well with the song's name. "Temptation" has more bass, but that doesn't take anything away from the spiritual impression given by the music. The main riff in it adds a sort of dreamy side to the song. I especially liked the effects playing in the background. In "Journey," the main instrument is a guitar, which he plays perfectly to produce the same style as when he plays his synthesizers. Joel Kanning really gets across a feeling without using words. I highly recommend this artist to you." - Carl Lerche (Majglow), toucando.com. Subtle atmospheric washes and slow, almost Drum 'n' Bass-style beats place Kanning in a category all by himself, where the music speaks in lush synth pads and electrified beats that never bring the BPM too high. - Jesse T., Listen.com |
