Artist description
"With a very similar sound to Trent Reznor, HALFleft uses clear, striking drums, slightly processed, pained vocals, and heavy synths. " Mark K - LISTEN.com | Have you listened to a band that at first listen you just didn't get till you listened more? If so, you have stumbled on to exactly that in "HALFleft." With influences such as KMFDM, Kraftwerk, Information Society, and many other electro-industrial bands, Michael creates soundscapes that are vast and are a test to the ear. "I often try to hide things in songs, I like when things are soft yet forceful... I like things that are quaint & tiny, and make them somehow become big and important. I?m very much a mood person?" Working on 2 new records in NYC (One is a score record and the other is described as ??a violent march?, Both are to be released summer/Fall 2001), Michael promises some surprises from unlikely places and people... Here are some old archived selections from 1996 & 1999. |
