Artist History Doug has been involved in music ever since he could reach the piano keyboard. Coming from a musical family, singing and playing came quite naturally. Doug began singing and performing during his high school years. He is a classically trained tenor vocalist who began studying musical theory in college back in 1988. He began songwriting in 1989. He wrote several classical and pop arrangements for instrumental and choral ensembles. Today, Doug is a published composer of choral music. He enjoys writing music of most all genres including children’s choral music, sing-a-longs, and holiday carols as well as jazz quintet accapella and gospel/R&B arrangements. Most recently, Doug had his song “Crazy” performed on MTV’s The Cut.

Albums Doug’s debut CD “Reflections” is a diverse collection of thoughts and genres. Doug has written for several artists including Marijune, a Seattle-based R&B singer with a large following and promising career. Recently, Marijune was selected to perform “Crazy” on MTV’s The Cut. Doug also volunteers his talents for worthy causes such as Save the Children Foundation, Save Our Children First CD, D.A.R.E., and local churches and schools. Although Doug loves to perform, his songwriting is his primary focus at this time. The satisfaction that comes from other artists performing his music is, to him, most fulfilling.
