Artist History Chuan (full-name Chong, Li-Chuan) loves the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, Dmitri Shostakovich and Björk Gudmundsdottir. In his spare time, he reads - favourite authors include Günter Grass, Milan Kundera, Geoff Ryman, Will Self, and Susan Sontag. Chuan also writes music of his own and practises sound art. Other preoccupations include philosophy (from Zhuang Zhi to Zizek), architecture (favourite architects include Le Corbusier, Norman Foster and Tadao Ando), cultural studies (in particular gender, and identity), fashion (Alexander McQueen and Issey Miyake) and film (favourite directors include David Cronenberg, Peter Greenaway, Terry Gilliam, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Fritz Lang and Chris Marker)..
