Artist description
The Blinded Camels are based in Washington D.C. Our strength is having diverse musical and cultural influences. Our bass player is a musician/actor/bike maniac, the guitar player is a successful actor on both coasts, the drummer a videomaker, and the singer an herbalist/med student from the old school of music. The thing that has brought us together over the years is friendship, and a love of making music and having fun. We dabble in styles but Roots Reggae is the foundation, with a heavy dose of dub. The HK/Kung Fu influences are courtesy of too many triple features at the old Ontario theater in Adams Morgan DC, our old stomping ground and my Birthplace. -Matty Dread |

Artist History
The band played clubs in D.C. in the eighties. We don't play live anymore because of geography, but we continue to record. We started in high school with a four-track and now record using cakewalk, etc. We have never been into the money thing, just good music and having fun. So were a "virtual band" if you will. DC rhymes with MP3, it's a natural. -MD |
