Ben is a classically trained cellist, having attended Interlochen music camp in Michigan ('77, '78) and the Schweinfurt Stadt Muzikschule in Germany ('79-'82). Music/Humanities Major at Western Wyoming Community College and University of Wyoming ('86-'92; received B.A. in Humanities - Music, Art, Literature - in 1992). Started playing guitar in 1983. Played keyboards and guitars in top-40, soul, and heavy metal bands in Korea and the U.S. Rocky Mountain region. Won Certificate of Achievement, TDK/Billboard Song Contest, '87.
