Artist History
Andrew Baranofski aka The Debauched Balladeer has been performing his unique blend of stand-up and musical satire in the Toronto area for several years. His first independent release featured the songs "My New Girlfriend Looks Like Karla Homolka" and "Who'll Miss Harris?". His next release was the controversial "Who Did in Diana?" backed with the "Anthem of the Anti-smoking Nazi". Then came the double CD single "A Peckin' At Chretien/Ode To Billy". His next offering was somewhat of a change from his usual comedic fare, the CD double single "Woes of Walkerton/The Unabashed Bashing Song." On top of writing/performing stand-up/musical satire Andrew has also fronted several rock bands, worked as a session vocalist, been a featured performer at spoken word readings and written numerous comedy sketches plus a radio play satirizing the history of Canadian Radio. He was also one of the featured performers at the Toronto Pavillion for Festival Caravan 2002. If you are interested in any of his independent releases, booking Andrew for shows or personal appearances you can reach him through his email: androf@excite.co |
