Artist History Solemite began as an excuse to get drunk and laid in the summer of 2000. A debut EP was recorded in the winter of 2000 and though it went on to sell over 2000 copies the band didn't get too serious until 2002. By that time all 5 members had quit their day jobs and begun perfecting the sound that would become 2003's debut release "The Reason You Own A Stereo" Recorded entirely by the band itself in their West Oakland basement and produced by Pailboy Productions' Johnny Genius & Y-bot, the album has already created a buzz in the San Francisco Bay Area underground where the band regularly packs them in at Local venues. Known For their energetic live show and catchy tunes, Solemite is poised to take over the world. Join or die.
