Artist description
Straight-up rock and roll with a bit of a country tinge. Harmony vocals run rampant throughout. Songs are written by Jason (guitar) and Jim (drums) and are sung by both. Attention is paid to the song as a whole and not simply to a killer guitar solo. Have been called "sexy, sweaty men playing loud music." |

Press Reviews
"Seldomfence play sort of traditional rock with a slight rootsy sound brought on by Rhodes, harmonica, and swanky slide guitar. Weirdly enough, they sound a little like they've been listening to X... [They] would be excellent listening for a road trip across the Midwest in autumn." T h e P o r t l a n d M e r c u r y"...mostly mid-to-down tempo introverted rockers... never monotonous, and many of the tracks are buoyed by very respectable harmony vocals and lead guitar work by Scott Simpson that is subtle and luminous. And when they do pick up the tempo they have good results." J o r d a n - Canada"...young country in the making.... makes you want to go out and howl with the dogs, pick up your lass or lad and twirl 'em around or pull some other fool stunt you'd only do during a full moon." J A M Magazine"Restraint seems to be a hallmark of this band, as it seems to me they have the chops to improvise all night and explore every corner of the songs, but hold back to keep the CD well paced and leave the listener wanting more. A very good debut from a band that seems to hold great promise." J e f f - Missouri |
