Press Reviews Interview with OUR SOULS: Đ 01/2001 by (extremeron-zine)1.First tell us little about the history of band: The band OUR SOULS was formed in Sep. 97 in Braunschweig, Germany. Braunschweig is a little city in the north of Germany. It has about 250.000 inhabitants. 2.Can you tell us little about your new material: The new maxi CD "Kreislauf" is our second CD. Weīve done all by our self, even the financial things, because we have no record deal. We made 500 copies and try to sell them in the internet or at our concerts. But itīs hard today to sell your cd, because noone will spend money for music anymore. But for us the internet thing is very important because you can spread your music over the whole world. For us it is more important to get popular than to make money with the music. Shure it would be nice but thatīs a thing we donīt believe in anymore. With our style of music we donīt think that we can make the big money. Itīs only our hobby. The first CD was called "Final hour" and itīs sold out. We made also 500 copies of it. Maybe we will record our new songs in the next year ,but only if we find a sponsor because we all have a lack of money since we made the last CD. So keep the fingers crossed that we get a record deal! 3.Can you describe German underground metal scean: In Germany the real metal scene is going underground. Today the styles are more mixed. People are more open minded and we think itīs good. We like crossover bands that mix different styles like Limp Bizkit or bands with their own style like Fear Factory. The mixture between hard stuff groove and melody. There are no typical metal bands anymore, except in the underground. 4.What are your favorite bands: My favorite bands in the moment are Limp Bizkit, Fear Factory,Testament, 3 doors down, Papa Roach, Blink 182 etc. From Germany I like H-Blockx , Kreator, Oomph and Liquido. In the past I was a big Metallica fan but I donīt like their new stuff anymore. 5.Do you have any plans for the future: The plans for the future are to get a record deal to record our new stuff and playing live as much as we can. We are a live- band. For us itīs the best thing to play live. But in the moment it not easy to play clubs without pay for playing. Most time you donīt get paid. And without a company in your back that is not easy. We would like to play in every country but without the money this is a problem. 6.What do you think about the situation in Yugosalvia: About the situation Yugoslavia I canīt say much because I donīt know much about your country. Sometimes you see something in the news. itīs a beautiful country but I donīt know why there is so much problems with civil wars. So sorry that I canīt tell you more . I hope that it will go better in the next years. It would be cool to play in your country and learn something about your culture. 7.Say something for the end: So I hope you can do something with my answers.
