Artist History DRBEAT DJ/PRODUCER SAN SEBASTIAN,SPAIN. DRBEAT aka JAIME SAGASTIBELTZA ,Started his career as a dj in the late eighties in the middle of acid house movement. Everything starts when he was seventeen years old and he feels dazed when he experiment his first club experience in KU San Sebastian ,the father of KU Ibiza.That connection was like a musical bridge between both clubs so this gave a rich musical influence to this young beginner dj. In 1998 DRBEAT gets a dj residency at DISCOBOLO a small club in San Sebastian. His popularity grows up and his music style goes more and more underground so in 1991 is called to play as a line up head in the first massive raves celebrated in the north of Spain (PANICO,KAOS,XTC) In 1992 he started to promote his own raves in a ware houses and he is caled from KU club to promote one night every month. In 1994 he get the residency in the KU club and after this in a clubs like , THE-END (94) , ROTONDA (95), MATRAKA (96). iN 1997 drbeat leaves Spain an jumps to The Great Britain.He meets the crew of THE CLUELESS SYSTEM; DJ LULU , MR..SMITH ,THE DOCTOR , DJ GURU AND TIM RAPPER . They give to him the chance to play in many in British and European parties, Madrid,Andalusia,Aragon,Ibiza,United Kingdome,France,Netherlands...are some of the destinations for this ,now experienced ,dj. In the summer of ´97 DRBEAT moves it self to Ibiza to join a German promoter called SAFARI 2002 and playing during the season in AMNESIA , PRIVILEGE (ex KU) and some beach parties. Ibiza is a "must be there" place for a dj in summer so he is there every summer since then. Lately he has been alternating is dj appearances with the work in studio composing and working for his live acts. promoting "MEDITERRANEO" his latest release with CANDELA CLUB , a group that combines a house dj mixing with a performance of live musicians with a very balearic flavor; and he is compilating the tunes for his incoming first album. His dj sets are full of good energy and because his long experience he can surprise playing the latest sophisticated track mixed with a "most wanted " jewel from his huge record collection.
