An amazing sight happened during Captain Tractor's concert set at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. While the band performed Up The Hill, some of the more energetic fans formed a conga line and danced "up the hill." It was quite a sight to beholdNominated for a COCA Award, Captain Tractor was one of four bands invited to perform at the Awards dinner.Captain Tractor has made two videos to accompany the release of their singles from East of Edson. The first single that was released, Up The Hill, charted in the top 30 on Power 92 (an Edmonton radio station). The second single release off Captain Tractor's CD, East of Edson was Talk. This was released the last week of January and did really well at the campus stations. This was very successful - new friends and a lot of new fans. The tour was made possible by a FACTOR Touring Grant. The band also recorded a few songs with New Zealand band, Banshee Reel. Alas, because of the change of personnel in Banshee Reel, this project fell by the wayside.Captain Tractor returned from New Zealand to play a sold-out licensed concert at the Dinwoodie Lounge, University of Alberta.
