Artist History DJ Haji is a funk bassist extrordinaire who's spent many years in progressive rock bands like The Doctors and Technocracy. He met Sonia over 10 years ago as a student of bass guitar. After learning the basics, she went on to play in Boobytrap, an all-girl hard rock band that had it's heyday onstage at Music MidTown in 1997. Over the past 3 years DJ Haji has turned his attention to electronic music technology. The two bassists reunited and began a musical expansion that eventually formed AquaVenus. The band is hard to classify since they play such a wide variety of styles. The one common thread running through it all is inventive beats and out of the ordinary musicality.
