Artist History
Ken Roland's career in music spanned from 1964 until his tragic death in 1996. His musical journey includes mainstream rock, country-rock and easy-listening. His musical credits include the follow-up hit to Wadsworth Mansions #1 hit song Sweet Mary, Nine On The Line. He also worked on sessions with The Five-Man-Electrical-Band for their memorable hit song, Signs. In studio Ken engineered for every one from Burl Ives to The Beach Boys. After Ken died, his brother, Terry, decided to keep Ken's legacy alive through music from the family and through the completion of a CD of Ken's best material, Forever Never Ends, released in 1998. This site is intended to keep the community of music flowing from Ken's legacy alive. Ken's brother, Terry Roland, is also a songwriter. Ken recorded two of Terry's songs which are featured on the site, Midnight Road and Brings Me Back Home To Texas. Ken's nephew, Don Roland Jr. is a talented musician and songwriter. He is featured on this site as well. Watch for more family and friend's music on the site as the legacy continues to grow. |
