Press Reviews
Review by eSoundz Reporter, 8.01.2002:
(eSoundz Reporter--01/2002) [Score]
"Cyberbeat" was the theme to the inaugural 2000 Intel Internet Awards Ceremony in Moscow, Russia. eSoundz Reporter ranks this score melodically well structured with an elevating techno-rythmic quality that is addicting.
Oleg Gurtovoy takes synthetic sounds and turns them into captivative intrumentals such as "Siberia" composed for the TV documentary "Zhit mozhno". We tag this one... "Collaborating material!"

Review by United Global Artists, 27.03.2002:
Oleg Gurtovoy manifests into the sonic arena from Russia with a splash of dramatic fury & orchestral maneuvers via synthesis & organic compositional zeal. Oleg incorporates diverse musical elements of wind instruments, bowed strings & a plethora of multi timbrel panache.
Works such as "Song Of Joy" exhibit an acoustic piano flourish of major cadence merged in a positive upbeat mainstream glide. In "We Belong" the music expose' of a quaint & charming accordion that's surrounded in layers of melodious string passages with a faint baroque quality.
"Taiga" lends its old world traditional & ethnic world beat perspective with a somber tone. Oleg showcases "Cyberbeat" with a poly-rhythmic post industrial signature, complete with nice electric guitar riffs.
In "Siberia" we are treated to a stark pulse-sonic rendering of an other world metropolis, encapsulated in a mid tempo & time signature variations. Oleg also forays into the more ambient with his composition "Space" with its techno-cool epic sonic bursts & strong half time back beat.
Oleg Gurtovoy is a unique artist & composer that has the ability to perform his sonic magic to the world audience & stages of any international arena, whilst transforming his listeners senses in an effortless & comforting manner that exudes talent & brilliance in the 21st century while acknowledging the great composers of the past, that reflect & dip into the pool of inspiration & emotion that is Oleg.
