Music Style Dark Gothic Metal

Artist History At the beginning of 1999 Biosfear drummer Raymond and ex-Obtruncation guitarist Arjan founded a brutal death metal band named Cancer Suspected Agent. Not much later they were joined by Heidi on bass. After some practising we decided to change our style of music to more atmospheric dark and gothic metal. In the spring of that same year singer Richard and guitarist Mario came over from the deathmetal band Philosopher. With this new line-up we changed the name into a more appropriate one, WE,THE GODS. In the Autumn of that same year a two track rehearsaltape named Nos, dei was recorded with help of a good friend, Houwitser's guitarist Michel. This tape was mainly promoted in our innercircle but to our surprise it led to an invitation for a short tour in Denmark. The OtherSide digital enigineering studio was choosen in june 2000 for the recording of the mini-album Dark Embrace, it is an independent release and contains five gothic-influenced dark metal songs, featuring some other good friends of us as guestmusicians, namely ex-Christian Death guitarist Wim, on keys and Maria of The Black Horizon on additional vocals. So .. Be Converted !!
