Artist History
Born in 1973. Intrigued as a child by the theatrics of Kiss, the "talking guitar" of Peter Frampton, and Japanese Space Music on Hearts of Space in the 70's. Fascinated with father's grand piano. exposed as a young boy to David Bowie,Peter Gabriel,The Cure,The Smiths, and B-52's. Mostly holed up in room during the 80's with father's DX-7,Fender Rhodes Mach 1,Gretsch guitar and Fender bass - listening to records and creating noise of his own. First experimented in twisted noise punk outfits Bastards of Perversion and the Radioactive Hampsters during 7th-10th grade years. while in college in the early 90's, cheap technology and like-minded friends allowed new avenues of noise to be explored. During the summer of '92,while lounging around his first cheap apartment with friends after a night at the clubs, an idea was discussed to start an electronic/rock hybrid band fusing the favorite sounds of the day from the likes of 4AD and Creation records. Thus, the band What She Wore was born |
