Artist History As the last note of their song lingers in your mind, you ask yourself what is this? Musical classification is often the interpretation of the listener. Between the complex pulse of the bass guitar; the multi tempo, driving rhythms of the drums; and the guitars from melody to snarl, Rapid Fusion can best be described as a multi-faceted mood swing of musical gestures setting themselves apart from the commercial mediocrity of popular music. The two founding members of Rapid Fusion consist of vocalist, guitarist Josh Roll and drummer Josh Ferrie. The convergence of the two creative forces began in August of 2000. With an immediate burst of inspiration, the two wrote the blueprints of what would become a five song demo entitled Burst, which was released in March of 2001. To complete their musical vision, they recruited the bass talents of fellow musician, Jason Ellsworth, in February of 2001 to complete the musical trio. The band hails from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Coming from a variety of backgrounds, each member has ten plus years of musical experience. The majority of the members influence and experience stems from a heavy metal background. Jason and Josh Ferrie currently play in the death metal outfit, Fall, with Jason acting as lead guitarist and Josh on drums and vocals. Josh Roll spent five years of his musical progress in the thrash metal band, Lost Within, from 1994 to 1999, and spent a year playing solo prior to forming Rapid Fusion. In March of 2002, Rapid Fusion will release its first full length CD entitled Sanitys Helper
