Artist description I am guitarist, composer and music lover. I live and work in London. My aim is to make original, warm and honest music with meaning. For composing and recording I am using a computer set-up made from Cubase VST and EMU-APS. Although I am grown under the influence of the entire inheritance of the music from the West, I think that just on time I discovered the too rich-music from the East, specially from the Balkans, particularly from Greece and Macedonia, to whose nations I belong. So, my aim is nothing else, but an attempt, to take the best from both musical cultures and bring it closer to broad-minded people, among who I belong, I guess. The Balkan is rich with musical scales melodies and rhythms; Jazz and the Classical have the harmony and different scales; the Rock’n’roll is bringing along some primordial energy, some elan; with Pop music came out to light the importance of production; Hip-Hop brought the best layer for Protest song. I am reading all this “books”, and, well, I am trying to write my own.... Indirectly, I must admit, I am very much influenced by the Spiritual music, especially the Byzantine Chants. Its depth, calmness and mystical element are touching me deeply. I am big devotee to the Gregorian Chants, as well. To make the long story short, I love music, and the magic moments when music is being created, from picking some notes on the guitar strings, to the final recording, when a song, tune or whatever which is music piece is born and lives its own life on this earth.

Artist History I started playing in bands when I was 17. Since then I was composing the music, mainly. I played electric guitar, and always was in search for a good singer. As the time was passing, and THE singer could not be found, I started to sing, although even today I don’t think I do it properly. We played strictly blues in the beginning, and slowly transformed to progressive rock, in the mid-80’ies. When I say WE, I mean a larger amount of people, which passed through the bands that I was forming. Finally, in ’85 we called ourselves “Super Nova”, and that name remained. And the members of the band were not changing so often anymore. Being from the south of Former Yugoslavia, Skopje, we started our attack to the capitol and other important cities at that time in that country. By than we played, actually we performed a heavy version of Hip-Hop with lyrics against the hypocrisy in the society. Our biggest success “Rapovanje” has the following words in the refrain: ”Better to Rap, then to make war!” Sadly, nobody “heard” our peaceful message. As we were getting better and more famous across the land, the political and economical circumstances were worst. We performed with big success at many festivals, had our own gigs, fans, went many times on TV, and were heard on radio regularly. “Rapovanje” was released in a compilation LP, and became success around 1989. We were going to sign up for a major label…the rest is known by most of the people on this planet, one of the most absurd wars ever happened in front of our eyes, war which could not be stopped. I went in Holland, were I educated myself in a School of Audio Engineering, in Amsterdam. Couldn’t do much on a carrier at that time, ‘cause of the war, which was killing me mentally, and the divorce I had, which attempted to destroy me totally. I survived somehow, and went back in Skopje, this time capitol of Macedonia. I picked some songs, which I made in Holland, and some friends, which I already had, and we recorded “Bridges” (Mostovi), in 1997. As the country was struggling to cope with its post-war economic situation, I decided to take my chances and came here in London 1998. Computers were in, so, with the knowledge of the course I had taken earlier and hard work, I succeed to buy me a nice VST/APS studio, and to learn what to do with it. So, year 2000, I am on the road again, recording 3(!) albums in one summer. That’s life, when something is suppressed for longer time, it explodes in the end. I work quite a lot with John Hudson lately, great pianist, singer, and composer. This Internet revolution lightened the hope in us that things CAN be done, meaning promoting once music without the need of going commercial. What else? I am looking forward to finish the next album, when a lot of music is to be brought to the light of the day.
