Artist description Welcome to KARNO.This is a release named The Iris Project.The Iris Project concept began in 1999. It was based on the idea of taking the natural limitations of an acoustic trio (acoustic guitar, electric bass, drums and vocals) and experimenting with a wide range of musical styles. Much of the inspiration for this music comes from nature, time, and human thought. Therefore the recording was completed in a matter of only a few days to maintain very natural, spontaneous, human feel throughout. This particular release was recorded by jazz musicians who, over the last three years, have been studying at the West Australian Conservatorium of music. Though this particular album may seem stylistically similar throughout, Due to the extreme versatility of the composer, and musicians used- Karno releases will continue to progress and stretch into new forms.
