Artist History
The Smokin' Gun Blues Band was formed in 1997 in Pensacola, Florida and has been "giggin" around the Florida, Alabama area ever since. In 1999-2000 they played all of the local music festivals and mardi-gras to cheering and screaming fans. This summer the band is planning to go on the road and is auditioning for many rock/blues festivals around the U.S. and Canada. |

Group Members
Lead Guitar: Buddy Pedersen, Stage name: "SLIDE"... Buddy is thoroughly schooled in delta slide style blues as well as all other styles included in the blues and rock genre'. To say he's fast is to "damn with faint praise." His playing blazes with energy and huge "hooks."Bass: Max Bolton III, Stage name: "BOOMER"... Max started as a lead guitarist, but in 1978 he took up the bass to fill a need in a band his was working with. He's been studying and playing bass ever since. Max is an inventive and solid bassist with a good knowledge of drum music and that allows him to work hand in glove with our drummer. His guitar training ensures that max's bass parts work well with buddy's firey lead.Drums: Ken Johns, Stage name "SNAKE"... Called "Snake" because of his hand speed, our drummer is an ambidextrous, rudimental player, who came up through the VFW drum corps system in the dim past. (He's as old as dirt!) Ken's style is described by other drummers as "effortless" and "flowing." He mixes rudimental "chops" with a very inventive style that helps the band "really cook." |
