Artist description
What? Northwoods rap? You Betcha! Ray the Wolf has long been on the forefront of the music scene in Grand Marais, MN. Rain Elfvin (Ray the Wolf) headed the punk band Sgt. Snowpants, recording several CDs - HEADIN' FOR THE HALL, NOMICON, SHE'S THERE, also recorded with the hardcore CLOAK, and returned to his roots in rap performing with THE EUPHONICS and CREW JONES. Side projects included KNARWHAL, and tracks for FLASH MERIDIAN and now the solo ep VISUALIZE. Rain's music is truly music for the people. He sings what we all feel, and he wants his music to be available to everybody. I just think that's very cool. Tell your friends about Ray the Wolf. |

Rap has had a foothold in Northern Minnesota for some time now, beginning with The Euphonics which featured Burly Burlesque and Sean, Rain on guitar, Doug on bass, Trevor on keys... And this eventually boiled down to VISUALIZE, a solo CD by Rain Elfvin (Ray the Wolf) in the fall of 2000. |
