Artist description
Molly's music reveals her exposure to many of the roots of today's modern country - folk, bluegrass, traditional country, and even rock. Molly's voice combines the sweetness of Emmylou Harris with an intensity similar to Janis Joplin's. A quote from Molly's producer, "“Americana. It's a crazy mixed up world of bluegrass, country and folk, with a pinch of rock & roll occasionally thrown in. It's the perfect platform for the music of Molly Slone, a new artist who is about to take Americana by storm. Molly has a beautifully unique voice and a fresh sound that pulls you into her songs. Be sure and give Molly Slone a serious listen … she's good!”Brent Truitt, Producer / Engineer / Musician, B. Truitt Music, Nashville, TN |

Artist History
Molly began singing as a child in church and in the school choir. She continued to perform regularly throughout high school and she and her brother performed up to five nights a week in clubs and coffeehouses during her time at the University of Kentucky. Molly says, “Music was a family tradition and growing up in Kentucky, it was always a part of life.” The state is a mother lode of talent - from the traditional bluegrass of Bill Monroe, to some of country music’s all-time greats, including Loretta Lynn, Dwight Yoakam, Patty Loveless, Keith Whitley, The Judds, and Ricky Skaggs. Molly lists all of those artists as her musical influences. |
